Selection: The use of 30-60,000 BTU high
intensity infra-red heaters is most common. The other
preferred models are short-length, high BTU tube type
heaters – usually set-up in a ‘U’ configuration. The
use of the HL Series will allow two BTU firing outputs
when desired. Toggle switches (on/off), rather than
thermostats, best control these heaters.
Installation:
Heaters should be placed behind the area where the
golfers stand. Clearances to combustibles must be
observed and consideration for the golfer’s full swing
should be considered. The heater should be shielded
from the elements, particularly wind and rain. Use
protective screens when necessary, especially with DR
Series infra-red heaters.
