Equipment Selection:   Patio-Pal patio heaters, small size tube or DR infra-red heaters are most commonly applied to outdoor patio areas.   Outputs range from 50 to 200 BTU’s per square foot, depending on mounting heights and average ambient conditions. If the heaters will be mounted in locations accessible by people, protective screens are suggested.  Heaters are best controlled by on/off switch.

Installation:   Heaters should be placed to provide optimum coverage for the area to be heated.  Mount as high as possible, while maintaining clearances to combustibles.  Shield from the elements, particularly wind and rain. Discuss the temperature distribution with the designing representative to avoid uneven heat patterns.
