ENGINEERING POSITION

Detroit Radiant Products is the leading
manufacturer of gas-fired infra-red heaters. Our
MI manufacturing facility designs and
manufacturers heaters for distribution into the
United States and to over 20 different
countries. We are currently seeking an Engineer
to assist us with product design, product
certification, certification maintenance,
quality control and day to day technical support
of both product offering and our distribution
network.

Primary Responsibilities
• Product certification and certification
compliance.
• Quality control implementation.
• Troubleshooting and product support.
• Application design and layout assistance.
• Product design, development and testing.
• Technical phone and field support.
• File maintenance and organization.
• Conduct technical training seminar classes.
Qualifications
• Minimum 4-year college degree. BS Engineering.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal
skills.
• Excellent communication skills – both written
& verbal.
• Excellent PC skills. Fluent with MS Office
Products & AutoDesk. 3D modeling.
• HVAC knowledge and experience preferred.
• Exposure to ANSI, NFPA, CE and ASHRAE
Standards.
• Qualified to manage product and legal
compliance directives.
• Ability to implement and supervise Quality
Control Initiatives.
• Experience in troubleshooting mechanical
equipment.
• Willingness to travel appx. 20-40 days per
year (domestic and international).
• Willingness to perform lab tests with a
hands on approach.
• CNC programming skills. Easy-Cam preferred.
